DESCRIPTION: Tuesday 4th August  2026 (1pm & 3.30pm sittings) \nThere will definitely be “Bliss in the Ballroom” in the historic week when the town celebrates 200 years of it’s famous sailing regatta\, especially if you like tea and cake! \n \n  \nTickets are exclusively available through the Price is Wight website: Click Here \nNorthwood House\, set in beautiful Northwood Park in Cowes\, is the perfect destination during the town’s historic sailing regatta for meeting up with friends and family for a special treat. And with Cowes Week celebrating it’s 200 year anniversary this year\, its an extra special reason to be making a special occasion of it! \nFollowing fabulous feedback received every year\, the venue is once again offering an exclusive vintage afternoon tea experience during the regatta week\, served to perfection by their award-winning team in the refurbished Ballroom. \nThe tea includes a delicious selection of fresh homemade sandwiches\, cakes\, scones and hot drinks\, as well as a glass of  premium Tinwood Estate English sparking wine or alcohol-free fizz on arrival to get you in the mood for socialising \nYour afternoon tea will be accompanied by talented local pianist playing on the Ballroom grand piano to create a perfect relaxing atmosphere for your group. \nWe have a choice of two sittings times available at 1.00pm or 3.30pm on Tuesday 4th August 2026  \nChoose from four options: \n\n\nStandard Vintage Afternoon Tea for One \n\n\n* Glass of premium Tinwood English sparkling wine or Non-Alcoholic Sparkling on arrival. \n*A choice of quintessential savory finger sandwiches:\n\nSmoked Salmon & Rocket with Tarragon & Lemon Mayonnaise\nFree Range Egg and Cress with Black Pepper Mayonnaise\nCucumber with Cream Cheese and Fresh Mint\n\n* Homemade Sultana & Plain Scones with Rodda’s Clotted Cream & Strawberry Preserve \n* Selection of Delicious Homemade Cakes & Sweet Treats \n* Wight Label English Breakfast Tea or Island Roasted Cafetiere of Coffee \n2) Gluten-Free Standard Vintage Afternoon Tea for One. \n3) Vegetarian Vintage Afternoon Tea for One \n* Glass of premium Tinwood English sparkling wine or Non-Alcoholic Sparkling on arrival.\n*A choice of quintessential savory finger sandwiches:\n\nRoasted Red Pepper & Houmous with Rocket\nFree Range Egg and Cress with Black Pepper Mayonnaise\nCucumber with Cream Cheese and Fresh Mint\n\n* Homemade Sultana & Plain Scones with Rodda’s Clotted Cream & Strawberry Preserve\n* Selection of Delicious Homemade Cakes & Sweet Treats\n* Wight Label English Breakfast Tea or Island Roasted Cafetiere of Coffee\n\n4) Gluten Free Vegetarian Vintage Afternoon Tea for One\n \nPlease note: \nOther specific allergens (lactose/egg etc) can be catered for but must be stated in advance immediately upon booking by contacting the venue. The last day to notify the venue for allergen requirements is Thursday 30th July. Non-disclosed allergen requests cannot be catered for on the day of the event. Max table size is 8 people.\nCar parking on the Ward Avenue Cowes Week Field car park is recommended and can be purchased for £3.50 when ordering an Afternoon Tea. Car parking is valid for anytime from 12.30pm-7.00pm \nAll profits made from the Vintage  Afternoon Tea go to Northwood House Charitable Trust for ongoing repairs\, maintenance and restoration project work\, so its a great way to support the Charity. \n\n\nOther Booking information:\n\n1) Maximum table size is 8 people. For bookings of more than 8 people in a group\, guests will be located on different tables but in close proximity where possible.\n2)  Groups of 6-8 people will have their own table. People booking in smaller groups of up to five people may be sharing tables with other smaller groups and individuals.\n3) The venue cannot cater for specific allergen needs if it hasn’t been notified directly in advance\, sorry.\n4) Please arrive at the stated start time via the Rotunda entrance or Tea Garden entrance.\n5) The tea sitting is up to 1 hour 45 minutes from stated start time of 1pm and 3.30pm.\n6) The pianist will play during each tea sitting with several twenty minute interludes.\n7) No refunds can be issued after booking has been completed\, sorry.\n8) Options to purchase additional drinks available on the afternoon.\n9) Please bring a copy of your Price is Wight booking email with you on the day to check in.\nMake an Afternoon of it! \nJoin us after your Cowes Week Afternoon Vintage Tea for drinks in the Musto Lawn Bar….the prefect way to relax for the rest of the afternoon.
