DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\nDaisy Ring Bus marks its first anniversary with a community celebration at Northwood House\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDaisy Ring Bus CIC (Community Interest Company) will celebrate its first anniversary with an afternoon of live entertainment\, family activities and community celebration at Northwood House\, Cowes\, on Sunday 23 August 2026\, from 12pm to 4pm.\n\nThe event will bring together supporters\, volunteers\, local organisations and members of the community\, honouring those who have played a significant part in Daisy Ring Bus’s first year — with a warm welcome extended to everyone across the Island.\n\nAll are welcome to attend.\n\nDaisy Ring Bus was created to provide safe\, volunteer-led transport for Isle of Wight cancer patients travelling to hospital appointments in Southampton and Portsmouth\, delivered with care and kindness at every step of the journey.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe anniversary celebration will offer something for all ages\, with a full programme of entertainment and attractions:\n\nFaT Samba Band \nWight Diamonds \nI.O.W. Pipes and Drums \nVectis Brass Band \nGreg Chapman\, Magician \nCowes Fire Appliance with crew \nDoctor Who TARDIS and Dalek \nWood turning demonstration with Edmond Green \nFace painting \nQuality Stalls \n\n\nAlso at the venue: a licensed bar\, pizza\, tea and cakes\, cream teas\, and Plaza ices. \nWelcome drinks will be served in the ballroom between 11:30am until 12.30pm\, followed by a short presentation and a live performance of the organisation’s theme tune\, “Lean on Me”\, by Anna Newton. \n\nMichèle Le Quesne Newton\, Chair of Daisy Ring Bus CIC\, said: \n“Our first anniversary is a very special milestone for Daisy Ring Bus and for everyone who has supported us throughout our first year. This celebration is our opportunity to bring the community together\, reflect on what has been achieved\, and thank the volunteers\, supporters\, organisations and passengers who have helped make Daisy Ring Bus possible.
