The Jazz Social is back for a special summer afternoon edition on the Northwood House Tea Garden Lawn on Sunday 16th July. \nFollowing on from all our previous sell-out  evening events\, we’ll be moving outside and tipping our sun hats to high summer to bring you a super cool afternoon of Latin-inspired jazz on the lawn. Not only that\, but guest will enjoy a welcome drink on arrival followed by a clotted cream tea with home-made scones\, jam and fresh brewed tea to enjoy during the music. \n \nThe Jazz Social: “Latin on the Lawn” is brought to you by the Island’s Jazz supremo Jim Thorn and special guests\, providing the afternoon with a relaxed musical ambience.  So bring good friends\, grab a table and enjoy a laid-back sociable Sunday of great music and great company in equal measure. \nWith only four Jazz Social events through the year\, this special summer edition will be sure to sell out quickly\,  so book early to avoid disappointment! \nThe vibe is informal and relaxed with tables\, chairs and umbrellas on the lawn for seating and eating while Jim and his guests provide the perfect summer jazz vibe.  But don’t worry if the weather is inclement…we will switch the entertainment to the Northwood House Ballroom if there’s any rain in the forecast\, so the Jazz will definitely go on! \nTalented guests joining Jim Thorn on this special Jazz Social are: \nLoren Thorn (Vocals) \nGary Plumley (Sax) \nKen Black (Drums) \nJon Thorne (Bass) \nTimes: \n2pm: Doors open with entry via the main rotunda building \n2pm-2.30pm Welcome drink served from the Drawing Room. Guests takes their seats on the Tea Garden Lawn \n2.30pm-3.15pm: Live Jazz (first session) \n3.15pm-3.45pm: Interval with guests collecting afternoon tea from Drawing Room and returning to tables. \n3.45-5pm: Live Jazz (second session) \n5pm: Event closes. Guests are welcome to make their way to the Lawn Bar which is open until 7pm with more live acoustic music and  delicious fresh pizza available. \nThe Northwood House “Lawn Bar” is open all afternoon (via the rotunda building) for additional drinks if required \nTickets are only £17.00 each with proceeds after costs going to Northwood House Charitable Trust’s project restoration funds. \nTickets include: \n\nWelcome drink on arrival (Choose from a glass of Pimm’s\, a glass of premium prosecco or Belle & Co alcohol-free prosecco.\nA Clotted Cream Tea: 2 x fresh home made fruit scones served with butter\, strawberry preserve and Rodda’s clotted cream plus a cup of fresh brewed tea or a glass of ice-cold elderflower sparkling (non-alcoholic).\n2 hours of Latin-inspired Jazz on the Lawn.\n\nFood options (available in ticket section): \n\nStandard clotted cream tea.\nGluten-free clotted cream tea.\nA plant-based alternative option with similar themes  (which is also a Lactose-free option).\nWe are unable to cater for other dietary choices and allergens this time\, sorry.\nYou may choose to have an additional drink instead of the cream tea if we cannot meet additional dietary requirements and bring some of your own food to eat.\n\nAdditional Drinks (available in ticket section): \nAdd a bottle of Prosecco\, pitcher of Pimm’s or other drinks to enjoy during the jazz. Collect on arrival or at the interval. \n\nPremium Prosecco (75cl or 20cl)\nBottle of Moet & Chandon Champagne (75cl) if you’re having a celebration!\nChoice of house wines by the bottle\nPitcher of Pimm’s and lemonade\nWight Crystal chilled spring water-Still or sparkling (33cl)\n\nBooking information: \n\nEntry is by pre-purchased ticket only. No “on the day” sales\, sorry!\nYour email receipt is your entry ticket\, so be sure to print it off and bring it with you.\nThis is an outdoor event\, please dress appropriately for the weather conditions! We advise you wear a hat and apply sun protection to exposed skin if the weather is particularly sunny.\nIf the weather is inclement we will move the event inside to the Ballroom and thus the event will not be cancelled and no refunds will be issued.\nPicnic/garden table seating with umbrellas will be available with up to 6 seats. Attendees will have to share tables with other guests to maximise the seating available…its a Jazz Social after all!\nIn the unlikely case that we have to cancel the event for any reason in advance\, a full refund will be made within 48 hours to all ticket holders.\n\n\nTicket cancellation: \nIf you wish to cancel your jazz social  ticket you can do so via email/phone up to 72 hours in advance of the event with a full refund (therefore by 2pm on Thursday 13th July 2023). Please call Cath on 01983 293642. \nNo refunds can be issued for cancelled tickets after this time for any reason\, but of course you can pass your tickets to other people to use if required with the same dietary choice.
