The Comedy Social is back at Northwood House…so grab some friends\, prime your giggle muscles and get ready for our next instalment….and what a line up we have for you! So without further ado we welcome the following belly busters. \nDUE TO UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES JACOB HAWKSLEY WILL NO LONGER BE ABLE PERFORM THIS FRIDAY\, HOWEVER AT SHORT NOTICE WE CAN CONFIRM WE NOW HAVE THE AMAZING CONOR DRUM HEADLINING THE COMEDY SOCIAL…… \n  \n CONOR DRUM! \n  \n \n  \nConor Drum is an internationally acclaimed comedian\, actor and writer. Dublin-born\, now London-based\, Conor regularly performs at all the major UK comedy clubs\, has supported Jeff Garlin on tour and is possibly most notable for his appearances on the BBC and RTE.\n\n\n‘Highly Entertaining’ – Chortle \n‘Delivers high quality material’ – The Skinny  \n‘A skilled raconteur’ – MumbleComedy \n‘Very shrewd observational humour’ – Broadway Baby \n\n\n\n  \nTHENJIWE \n\n  \nOne of the most well-known and highly recognised stand-up comedians in South Africa today is Thenjiwe. She has three YouTube channels with over 180000 subs and over 40 million views and during her one-hour show at the Leicester Square Theatre in London\, she received a standing ovation! We can not wait to welcome her here at The Comedy Social! \n  \n\n  \n\n\nDON BISWAS \n  \n\n \nDon Biswas has been performing stand-up comedy since mid 2007. His unique set combines both razor sharp one-liners\, with humour about having Dyspraxia (organization and coordination difficulties) and mild traits of Asperger’s Syndrome and the effect it has had on him\, while coming from a middle class Indian family. Also thrown into the mix are quirky observational\, political and topical humor. \nYour Host and MC: SUNJAI ARIF \n \nResident MC for the Portsmouth Guildhall (LOL comedy)\, Black Cherry Theatre (fortnightly)\, regular MC for Bournemouth Pavillion (LOL comedy) and occasional MC for Manfords comedy club Southampton and Wedgewood rooms in Portsmouth (Off the Kerb). \n“Truly entertaining” – DORSET ECHO \n\n  \n\nAs always with the Comedy Social we will be having live music before and after the Comedy\, which we can confirm will be the fantastic Mufti Day! A perfect evening of entertainment awaits! \nDoors 7pm – Comedy from 8pm \nDon’t forget to add our fantastic pizza and drink deal option to your ticket bundle\, pizzas will be ready between 7:30 – 8pm. \nAnd if you fancy something else to nibble why not pre order our famous Cheese or Pate platter \n(If you require any additional dietary needs please get in contact and we will try our best to facilitate) \nAll seating is unreserved \nThe seating is arranged in various configurations of sofas/tables and theatre style seating\, these are available on a first come first served basis. We recommend groups of 3 or more people arrive early to get seats together as we cannot guarantee seats together for groups or parties. You may have to seating and tables with other guests\, but that’s how we role at the comedy social! \nAge suitability and restrictions\nThe comedy social  is strictly for 18 year old’s and over only due to the possible adult-themed content of the comedy. We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone without valid ID/proof of age whom the staff management deem to appear to be underage. \nComedy content warning\nWe have no control over the content of the comedian’s routines (and what would be the fun of that if we did?) but as with all adult comedy you should expect to hear some rude and offensive language and listen to content with strong adult and controversial themes.  If you are likely to be offended by such content then you should not book\, as no refunds can be given. \nDisclaimer: The material and opinions shared by the comedians are their own and are not representative in any way of  the venue and organisers (Northwood House Charitable Trust Company Ltd). \nPhotography \nWe allow photography during performances  (except in specific circumstances if requested in advance by a comedian)\, but any video or sound recording via a mobile phone or other recording device  is strictly prohibited. \nHeckling/disruption during the event\nWe have a strict policy of no heckling whilst the comedians are performing their routine. This is disruptive to audience members surrounding you and also to the comedians on stage. Remember\, people have paid to listen to the acts\, not to you! Anybody repeatedly talking loudly/heckling/shouting out/acting in a disrespectful manner will be asked to leave immediately without a refund…you have been warned! \nCancellations/Refunds \nUnless the event is cancelled or rescheduled in advance\, all tickets for The Comedy Social  are non refundable…sorry. \nSo are you up for a laugh?
