DESCRIPTION:Great news music fans…the Northwood House Jazz Social is back on Friday 28th April 2023 with the “Rhythm of Spring” edition. \nFollowing on from all our previous sell-out events\, this relaxed jazz club-style gathering of music lovers and socialites takes place in the recently redecorated Northwood House Ballroom  and is perfect for music-loving Islander’s looking for a different Friday evening out in Cowes. \nWith only four Jazz Social events through the year\, these popular events always sell out\, so book early to avoid disappointment! \n \nThe Jazz Social-“Rhythm of Spring” Edition is brought to you by the Island’s Jazz supremo Jim Thorn and special guests\, providing the evening with a relaxed musical ambience.  So bring good friends\, grab a table and enjoy a laid-back sociable evening of great music and great company in equal measure.  Tickets include a medium glass of house wine or G&T\, and of course our famous cheese or pate platter to enjoy during the evening too. \nThe vibe is informal and relaxed and thus quiet\, yet sociable chit-chat is very much encouraged while Jim and his guests provide the perfect atmosphere.  The Jazz Social is much about providing a venue to meet up with friends in a relaxed club-style environment\, and perfect for those looking for something original and a little more exclusive. \nTalented guests joining Jim Thorn on this Jazz Social are: \nLoren Thorn (vocals)\, Ken Black (drums) Jon Thorne (bass) and special guest Gary Plumley (saxophone/jazz flute) \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDoors open at 7.15pm\, with drinks and cheese in the Drawing Room before live music begins at around 8.00pm.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe iconic and stylish Northwood House “House Bar” with its legendary gin collection will be open all evening… with the chance to try a huge selection of artisan gin and tonics as well a fabulous premium selection of drinks. \nTickets are only £15.00 each with profits going to Northwood House Charitable Trust’s restoration funds. \nYou can also save a £1 on a further glass of wine or a G&T if you book in advance… helping you make the most of your evening out! \nEntry by pre-purchased ticket only. \nYour email receipt is your entry ticket\, so be sure to print it off and bring it with you. \nYour ticket includes a standard cheese platter\, but please state any dietary requirements when you book tickets\, so we can provide one of the following alternatives: \nGluten free\, lactose free (pate instead of cheese) and a vegan option are available only if booked in advance. \nHouse wine choice: 175ml medium sized serve of our house Shiraz\, Rose or Sav. Blanc. Alternative soft drinks available. \nTicket cancellation: \nIf you wish to cancel your admission ticket you can do so via email/phone up to 72 hours in advance of the event with a full refund (therefore by 7.00pm on Tues 25th April 2023). No refunds can be issued after for cancelled tickets after this time for any reason\, but of course you can pass your tickets to other people to use if required\, so long as you inform us along with any additional dietary information  by email at events@northwoodhouse.org by 9am on Thurs 27th April 2023. \n
