DESCRIPTION:Have you got a few hours a week (or even a month) to spare and would be able to contribute a little bit of time to a good community cause? \nJoining our volunteer park gardening team and/or event catering team might just be what you are looking for! \nIf you love gardening\, it’s a great opportunity to meet new people\, get some fresh air and exercise and help keep Northwood Park looking great for visitors. \nIf you love the buzz of events and are in your element in a highly sociable and bustling environment (helping to make and serve tea\, coffee and refreshments) then step forward! \n \nCome and find out more at our recruitment coffee morning on Saturday 7th  February. You’ll meet regular members of our friendly volunteer team and see what they get up to. Hopefully you’ll want to join in the fun! \nVolunteering is open to adults over 18 years of age and as long as you are reasonably fit\,mobile and healthy there’s no specific upper age. \nMeet our friendly team at the Northwood House Rotunda main entrance just before or at 11am. Sue Collinge\, our Charity Trustee in charge of volunteering will be there to welcome you along with some of our current volunteers and the Charity’s C.O.O (Darren Cool) who will tell you all about the opportunities over some coffee\, tea and biscuits! \nAnd don’t worry\, there’s absolutely no commitment what so ever to join the team if it doesn’t sound like it’s for you. We will  just be delighted that you were interested in the first place. With over 70 regular volunteers\, we’re pretty sure you’ll want to join in the fun\, by raising funds for Northwood House Charitable Trust at events or by helping to maintain Northwood Park for the whole local community to enjoy as a recreational green space…or maybe both! \nIf you can’t wait until then and want to find out more\, please get in touch and we’ll invite you in for a cup of tea! DESCRIPTION:The festive season is nearly upon us and the Island’s favourite Christmas Fair is back to get you in the mood!\n  \n \nWe can’t wait to welcome everybody back to Northwood House for a weekend of Christmas festivities held on the last weekend of November!\nOur Christmas Fair is one of the busiest Christmas events on the Island and will again be featuring a selection of up to 50 of the best local gift exhibitors in art\, craft and produce. \nIt’s the perfect inspiration for unique Christmas present buying for those seeking something unique and original for their friends and loved ones! \nThe main two day event will take place from 10am to 4.30pm on Saturday 29th & Sunday 30th November and will again free to enter for all visitors! \nBut if you want to beat the massive crowds you can join us on our new VIP Preview Night on Friday 28th November from 6pm-8.30pm (get more info and tickets below). \n \nThere will be retail stalls both inside and outside of the main house\, with a Christmas Cafe open all day with hot seasonal treats in the new lawn marquee. \nThe Rotunda Courtyard will feature live music across both days where you can buy mulled cider and an array of beverages and some  tasty stollen cake to really get you in the Christmas mood! Guest caterers So Much Dough will be offering their special Christmas inspired pizzas along with their normal menu of delicious wood-fired classics. \n \nChildren get the chance to  have a free “meet and greet” with Father Christmas in the snow cave and write him a letter to give to him in person\, with a chance for parents to take photos. Father Christmas will be saying thank you with a chocolate coin or a sweet treat for all the children and parents that pop in to say hello. DESCRIPTION:Update 12pm 11th Sept: BBQ ticket sales have now closed so that food and preparations can be made in advance\, thank you.\nEveryone is invited to come together on the evening of Sunday 14th September from 5pm for a delicious BBQ Supper evening to help raise funds for the Aitken Tennis Courts in  Northwood Park.\nIn a change to normal arrangements\, this year the annual event is being generously hosted by our lead tennis court fundraiser Maria Moore\, who is opening her house and garden for the event at 16 Castle Road\, adjacent to Northwood Park. \nThe Aiken Courts are a popular community asset used by lots of local people. The mission of Northwood House Charitable Trust is to keep the courts as a “free to play” facility\, but as a charity\, we need help with the ongoing costs of maintaining the courts to a high playing standard. \nFollowing the total refurbishment of the courts that was completed in 2020\, the courts have become more popular than ever…so if you play regularly or just want to support the charity with its community-focused aims\, this is your chance to help contribute by coming along and enjoying this special evening. \nJust to clean the courts professionally each spring now costs over £1800 alone\, with ongoing fees like insurance and other maintenance adding up to many hundreds of pounds over the year. \n \nSo join us for a very sociable evening at Maria’s House from 5pm until 9pm for a delicious late summer BBQ\, prepared by Maria and a crew of local Cowes Community Tennis enthusiasts\, all to raise funds towards the annual court maintenance costs. The evening will also feature some live music. Please arrive between 5pm and 5.30pm for the ease of managing food and drink. \nMaria and the team will also be doing some fundraising on the evening with a tennis themed raffle\, with prize donations gratefully received in advance. \nTickets are only £25 each for adults and £10 for children under 16 years old. \nAdult tickets include a glass of Pimm’s on arrival and a glass of wine or beer with the BBQ. We’ll have the Royal Marines Band at 3pm out on the lawn\, so come and enjoy this amazing free concert too. DESCRIPTION:It’s time to rally all local Isle of Wight Landy Lovers for another special summer gathering at Northwood Park to celebrate the start of Cowes Week!Join in the fun of the 2025  isLAND ROVER Rally on Sunday 3rd August 12pm-4pm\, with all Land Rover makes & models welcome with their owners! Last year’s inaugural event was attended by 80 Land Rovers and we hope to have even more this year! \nBring your Land Rover\, park up amongst like-minded enthusiasts in Northwood Park on the first Sunday of Cowes Week 2025 when the atmosphere is perfect for a sociable afternoon out. It will make a spectacular display of old and new Land Rovers from across the Island\, parked adjacent to the Northwood House Tea Garden Lawn.Northwood House is social hot-spot in Cowes Week with it’s licensed Lawn Bar open all day with a range of great wines\, gins and pitcher cocktails\, and trendy beers from Estrella Damm.  \nThere will be a free tea time performance by Mumma Mia\, a tribute to Abba which will be the perfect way to end the afternoon! Hot food will be available from the Prickly Pear Taco Truck and  So Much Dough Wood-fired pizza available from lunch time onwards. \nIf you are looking for a sweet treat\, the Northwood House Tea garden will be serving afternoon tea\, fresh cakes and light lunches from 12pm with a performance by the Wight Diamonds Marching Band on the tea lawn at  \nThe 2025 isLand Rover Rally will simply be an opportunity to meet each other and admire the assembled vehicles. The venue has grown considerably in stature over the last few years\, with the ever-popular Lawn Bar now offering some of the best entertainment and experiences in the town across the week. \nThe Lawn Bar opens daily from 12pm until late every day and is just a couple of minutes’ walk up from the busy promenade. With its relaxed vibe\, it’s the perfect place to meet up with friends and family to enjoy the premium drinks and food on offer in the heart of beautiful Northwood Park. A mixture of outdoor seating and indoor lounging is available\, so it caters well for visitors in all weathers. \n \nThere’s some fantastic live music from the Garden Stage throughout the week\, including a number of bigger concert events starting with legendary and former Radio 1 dance DJ Dave Pearce playing the opening night party on 2nd August with a huge night of dance anthems\, plus the not-to-miss after party “Club Elements” inside Northwood House until 1.30am.
