24th September Community News: Once again Northwood House is pleased to be involved in the Remembrance Day ceremonies in Cowes.
Sunday 26th September – Poppy Launch
Cowes has been chosen to host the Isle of Wight Poppy Launch this year
For those who wish to march – gather at St Mary’s Car Park at 10:15.
The parade will begin at 10:45 from St Mary’s to the Parade Bandstand. Onlookers are welcome.
At 11:00 there will be a March Past on the Parade followed by speeches, a hymn and blessing of the Poppy’s.
Sunday 10th October – Remembrance Day
Commemorations take place at Northwood Park
Here are the timings:
10:15 those who are parading gather at the Northwood Car Park.
10:30 participants will parade up Park Road and on to the park to the memorial.
11:00 the Remembrance Service will take place at the memorial with silence at 11:00.
11:30 Sunday service takes place in St Mary’s Church.
