Set in picturesque Northwood Park, just off Ward Avenue, the venue has three glorious reception rooms of varying sizes with beautiful lawns, perfect for photographs and socialising during your wedding day. Several of the rooms have been recently refurbished and provide incredible, yet affordable options for all couples looking for an incredible day.
The lawns also are available to hire for marquee weddings, with structures supplied by the venues in-house event team making for a simple one stop solution for couples seeking the luxury of an outside celebration but without all the hassle.
As a result Northwood House is great for couples who want the freedom to create a very personal celebration for their friends and family. Because our rooms can be hired individually or in combination, you can plan a unique day for your guests.

We have over ten local catering companies on our books who can provide food for your wedding here, providing a wide range of options for all tastes and budgets. So if it’s à-la-carte fine dining you’r after or just a simple finger buffet, we’ve got the best people lined up to help you. Just call them up and get a quote for what you need, simple! Most caterers will arrange menu tastings and make sure you get exactly want you want to meet your budget and aspirations.
The Northwood House team runs the bars and alcohol service for your wedding and work seamlessly with your chosen caterer for every aspect of the day. Ask for our latest wine list or options for welcome drinks and cocktails on the lawn. We are only 5 minutes walk from the Red Jet terminal in Cowes, making it one of the easiest venues on the Island to get to and use if you’re booking a wedding or event from the mainland UK. Our experienced wedding team can give you all the help you need if you are based off of the Island with every contact you may need to sort every detail, from florists and photographers to local bands and DJs. We can also advise on places to stay locally for family and friends, making a wedding here a joyful and stress free experience.
Cowes makes a great base for a weekend wedding…
Having a wedding here in Cowes is a fantastic experience and certainly one of the best Isle of Wight towns to have as a weekend base. It’s a thriving port community, famous for its sailing and socialising. There’s an impressive choice of restaurants and pubs for wedding guests to explore and enjoy before and after the big day, with lots of Airbnb and guest houses for weekend occupation. Their are beautiful walks along Cowes promenade to get stunning views of the Solent, often filled with dozens of yachts and sailing boats. Time it right and you’ll see some of the best sunsets in the world…and it’s perfect for taking those memorable wedding photos without having to get your feet muddy or wet!
