The 2024 Isle of Wight Spring Art & Garden Fair (rescheduled date)
18th - 19th May £4 - £10
So the weather made us change dates from April this year at quite short notice (sorry everyone, but the park was just too wet for thousands of visitors!) but the great news is that we’re delighted to be able to reschedule to May…perhaps an even better time of year for art and garden-loving Islanders who enjoy visiting outdoor events!
The 2024 Isle of Wight Spring Art & Garden Fair will now take place at Northwood House and Park in Cowes on Saturday 18th & Sunday 19th May from 10am to 5pm (rescheduled from 6th & 7th April)
We are delighted to announce that Red Funnel Ferries have kindly agreed to continue the sponsorship of the event in 2024 and will provide travel support for our mainland exhibitors.
The event will bring together a fantastic collection of different exhibitors of all types, including garden and plant nurseries from the Island and mainland who will be taking space on the lawns of the historic local venue, as well as a fantastic Island artist showcase inside the main house.
Great for gardening folk!
Plants, shrubs, garden machinery, tools, landscaping products and even hot tubs will all be on display over the two-day event. Guest mainland exhibitors who normally exhibit at the large mainland shows will be attendance selling the highest quality plant stock.
or call 01983 293642 and ask for Sam or Darren.
A full list of outside exhibitors will appear in early May.
Art Showcase will launch the Island Season
Some of the best Island artists will be exhibiting their work in the Art Showcase inside Northwood House, in what will certainly be the first main Island art event of the busy spring and summer season. There will be a live painting demonstration complete with some human models as subject matter running through the weekend, where visitors can have a go at sketching and painting with tuition from experienced Island artists in situ.
Tea tent and Lawn bar will feature live music… plus some free family activities!
The event will also feature the Northwood House Lawn Bar serving Pimm’s, wine and beer, plus our renowned tea tent and bbq managed by the award-winning Northwood House Volunteers, who won the Queens Award for Voluntary Service in 2019.
There will also be a tasty food offer from the talented team from the Garden Restaurant in Cowes with a pop-up restaurant.
Live acoustic performers will be playing over the weekend on the lawn to allow visitors to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. See Island favourites JC & Angelina as well as the popular Mike Jolliffe Duo amongst others.
There will also be free children’s activity marquee (“The Imagination Station”) with story telling, poetry and various art and craft activities, all supported this year by the High Sheriff’s Trust a for families to enjoy.
We’re delighted to announce that the Fair arena will return this year which will feature dog agility displays to keep you entertained. Long with shows by local magician David Randini to enjoy too.
Look out for a display by the Isle of Wight Vintage Tractor Club all weekend showing off some of their prized tractors and engines from yesteryear, always a fabulous part of the Fair.
We’re also delighted to announce there will a chainsaw sculpture carving display with two locally based artists, Paul Sivell and Richard Tomlin who will be going head to head to carve two beautiful timber sculptures that will be available to buy through an auction on Sunday afternoon at 4pm if you love what you see! You can even bid online over the weekend if you want to make an offer! Half the sale proceeds are being donated to Northwood House Charitable Trust to support important restoration work planned for this summer on the main roof structure.
