Daisy Ring Bus 1st Anniversary Celebration!

Daisy Ring Bus marks its first anniversary with a community celebration at Northwood House
Daisy Ring Bus CIC (Community Interest Company) will celebrate its first anniversary with an afternoon of live entertainment, family activities and community celebration at Northwood House, Cowes, on Sunday 23 August 2026, from 12pm to 4pm.
The event will bring together supporters, volunteers, local organisations and members of the community, honouring those who have played a significant part in Daisy Ring Bus’s first year — with a warm welcome extended to everyone across the Island.
All are welcome to attend.
Daisy Ring Bus was created to provide safe, volunteer-led transport for Isle of Wight cancer patients travelling to hospital appointments in Southampton and Portsmouth, delivered with care and kindness at every step of the journey.
The anniversary celebration will offer something for all ages, with a full programme of entertainment and attractions:

Cowes Fire Appliance with crew
Doctor Who TARDIS and Dalek
Wood turning demonstration with Edmond Green
Face painting
Quality Stalls
Also at the venue: a licensed bar, pizza, tea and cakes, cream teas, and Plaza ices.
Welcome drinks will be served in the ballroom between 11:30am until 12.30pm, followed by a short presentation and a live performance of the organisation’s theme tune, “Lean on Me”, by Anna Newton.

This celebration is our opportunity to bring the community together, reflect on what has been achieved, and thank the volunteers, supporters, organisations and passengers who have helped make Daisy Ring Bus possible. We would love people from across the Island to join us at Northwood House for what promises to be a joyful and memorable afternoon.”
The event will celebrate not only the organisation’s first year, but also the vital role volunteer-led patient transport plays in supporting Islanders through hospital treatment on the mainland, easing the practical and emotional burden of those journeys.
Daisy Ring Bus CIC is inviting residents, families, community groups and local businesses to come along, enjoy the entertainment and help mark this important milestone.
