As Cowes celebrates the 200th anniversary of regatta week, the Lawn Bar has got an event to close off the best week of the year on the Isle of Wight! Party people…are you ready for this??
The Epic Lawn Bar Friday Night Party sponsored by Musto is locked in and happening on Friday 7th August…it’s an event that going to have you buzzing, so save the date and get these Soul-Strutting tickets booked ASAP!
It’s going to be one of the main social gatherings of the week, so DO NOT MISS OUT! Dust of your dancing shoes (yes, sailing folk, your deck shoes will do) and come on down to the Musto Lawn Bar to party the night away with all your friends…we’re celebrating two whole centuries of the towns famous sailing regatta and Northwood House has been there since year 1 !
This year we’re going extra extra large with a huge celebrity DJ headliner to help bring the house down on a massive week. Radio 6’s afternoon front man and national TV star past and present whilst fresh from navigating ‘I’m a Celebrity!’ CRAIG CHARLES will be red-jetting in and aims to have you shuffling and shaking your tail feathers on the lawns as he plays an epic headline set of the best Soul and Funk tunes from the golden era of music. Craig is renowned for delivering high-energy sets packed with the grooviest, soul hits, and feel-good music pumping with intent to get your hips moving. Known for his iconic voice and character and taste in good music, Craig brings big tunes, dancing, and an unforgettable night wherever he plays across the Europe at festivals/touring.
We can’t wait to welcome Craig to Cowes to start bringing a close to our epic week on the Musto Lawn Bar Stage! Expect hands-in-the-air singalong bops, infectious grooves, and most importantly GOOD VIBES. Craig Charles’s DJ sets mix the best Soul & Funk dance tracks, timeless classics on repeat to create the feel-good experience that will have the whole crowd dancing the night away.
And don’t you worry, we’ve got some top live music too before Craig takes to the decks!
Supporting our incredible headline act will be SPACE COWBOY...an incredible 7 piece band playing 90 minutes of the best Jamiroquai tunes between 7.30pm and 9pm to get you on your feet and dancing in front of the stage with a drink in hand. This energy-packed experience comes complete with stylish outfits, engaging crowd interactions, and all the signature elements that make for an unforgettable night for music fans. With a setlist of timeless classics from from the main party man himself
One thing is for sure — you’ll be in for an entertaining night! What’s more!!! You are THEN cordially invited into Northwood House for the afterparty — “CLUB FUNK & SOUL” 11:45pm till LATE —where you can dance the night away. This is FREE to enter with your ticket but will have a strict capacity so it will be first come first serve, and then one in one out once capacity has been reached. THIS WILL ALSO BE STRICTLY 18+. So, you can swan off into the night or come inside for a bit of a boogie. We will have an excellent DJ soon to be announced, so watch this space…
This is a fully licenced event with all event bars on the lawn open from 6.30pm for the duration of the evening. Great food on site will be provided by our catering partners.
The main concert is an outdoor standing concert event, with only limited garden furniture seating available on a first come first served basis situated on the peripheries of the main standing area.
The all-weather Mermaid Lounge Marquee with lounge seating is available to book to enhance your experience, with exclusive access to it’s own event bar, guaranteed access to the after party at club mermaid is also included in the VIP tickets. Seating packages are only available in multiples of 4 people with welcome drinks included. Direct stage viewing is limited from the marquee while seated, but a reserved viewing area (standing) is available exclusively for Mermaid Lounge guests.
The The Friday Party Night (sponsored by Musto) is a fully licenced ticketed event with all event bars on the lawn open from 6.30pm for the duration of the evening. Great food on site will be provided by our guest caterers for the week, so you can eat and drink all evening if required.
This is an outdoor concert, with only limited garden furniture seating available on a first come first served basis situated on the peripheries of the main standing area. However sitting down will be the last thing on your mind at this event…its all about the dancing!
The all-weather Lawn Bar Mermaid Lounge with a mix of lounge seating (sofas/tub chairs) is available to book to enhance your experience, with exclusive access to it’s own event bar. Seating packages are available in groups/multiples of 4 or 8 people only with welcome drinks included. Direct stage viewing is limited from the marquee while seated, but a reserved viewing area (standing) is available exclusively for Club Marquee guests.

Early Release Ticket : £17.50 per person + booking fee
Second Release Ticket : £19.50 per person + booking fee
Final Release Ticket: £22.50 per person + booking fee
Field Car Parking: evening and overnight : £5 per car + booking fee (6pm Sat to 10am Sun)

Free overnight parking on the event field between 6pm and 9.30am the next day included for VIP ticket holders.
Event timings:
6pm: Ward Avenue Field car park open (£5 for evening and overnight parking if required until 10am).
6.30pm: Gates open- please enter via the Northwood House Rotunda main entrance. Bars and Food outlets open
6.30pm-7.30pm: Local DJ- warm up welcome set
8pm – 9.30pm – Space Cowboy
10pm-11.45pm: Headline set with Craig Charles DJ Funk & Soul Club

Other information:
• This is a ticketed event. The Lawn Bar will be open as normal on Saturday 1st August prior to the concert between 12pm and 5.45pm (last orders 5.30pm for afternoon drinkers).
• Please bring a printed copy of your Price is Wight email confirmation with you (or a digital copy) as your ticket. You’ll need to present it at the Box Office with your name and be checked off against the database of ticket purchasers to gain admission. Please bring a photo driving licence or bank card to prove name/ identity if requested.
• Ticket purchasers are welcome to join us at the Lawn Bar for pre-drinks during the afternoon, but due to our requirements to reset the venue before the concert, leaving by 5.45pm and re-entering after 6.30pm will be required, sorry.
• Sorry no camping chairs or blankets are permitted for this concert due to space limitations, so please don’t bring them. There will be some garden seating to the lawn peripheries and areas where concert goers can sit on the grass, if they want to but not in front of the stage. The marquee package does contain a seating.
• Over 18’s only. A challenge 25 policy is in place for entry and alcohol purchases. Please bring a photo driving licence or passport to prove your age if requested.
• No food or drink can be brought on to the licenced premises for this event, sorry.
• Standard event security protocols apply. Bag and pocket searches by qualified SIA personnel should be expected upon entry where any permitted items will be removed from customers including food, drinks and illicit items which can be collected at the box office upon exit.
• The event has a zero tolerance drugs policy. Any drug related issues will become a police matter.
• Tickets are not refundable after purchase, although purchasers are welcome to find new owners if they are unable to attend for any reason.
• In the unlikely event the concert has to be cancelled in advance or during the event due circumstances beyond our control (failures by third party contractors and service providers, ferry cancellations, bad weather, force majeure, H&S issues, emergencies and other third party interventions) all tickets will be fully refunded in line with the Price is Wight’s refund policy within 7 days of the cancellation being made and officially notified on this web page.
• Please come dressed appropriately for the weather conditions. The show will go on even in showery or rainy weather unless emergency protocols bring proceedings to a stop.
• Please leave the venue quietly at the end of the concert to minimise disturbance to our neighbours.
The concert event is a fundraising event organised by Northwood House Charitable Trust Company Ltd, with all profits going to the charity’s ongoing restoration programme.
