Enjoy this unique interpretation of Shakespeare’s Hamlet, performed in the open air by the Island’s renowned Adlib Theatre group. This time the famous tragic drama, (arguably William Shakespeare’s most famous play) is reimagined and set in the 1930’s, where you are invited to join in the wedding celebrations of this royal family!
Feel free to come dressed for a wedding if you wish! However, as performances will go ahead in most conditions, come prepared for the English weather!
Tickets £8 per person (sorry, no concessionary rates available) or £12.50 with a glass of house wine, Pimm’s or Mermaid G&T*
This production is not recommended for under 10-year-olds
Event details:
The production is expected to last 140 minutes, which includes a 20-minute interval.
Free parking after 6pm in the Northwood House Rotunda or Park Road Car Parks (sorry, limited capacity in the Rotunda car park).
Toilets are available adjacent to the Northwood Park tennis courts, near the performance area.
Please bring folding chairs – no seats are provided – and please dress warmly (or bring extra layers), even on a nice evening.
The performances are open air and take place in all but the most inclement of weather. Tickets are not refundable unless the performance is cancelled before the official start time due to weather. Notification of cancellation will be via email as soon as practically possible and by posting on the Northwood House & Adlib Theatre Facebook pages. Please follow these for updates.

The Northwood House Lawn Bar will be open on the lawns adjacent to the performance area where alcoholic and soft drinks are available with bar snacks.

Wine: Medium 175ml glass of house wine: Sav. blanc/Rose/Merlot.
Pimm’s: Half pint serving with all the trimmings.
Mermaid G&T: 25ml measure standard or pink gin, with choice of fever tree tonic.
