The Isle of Wight Radio Super Sunday Family Party (Free entry)

It’s certainly going to be an amazing weekend to start the 200th anniversary of the the town’s world famous sailing regatta here at the Musto Lawn Bar. And after a barnstorming start on Saturday with the amazing Vernon Kay, the terrific vibe continues with our Isle of Wight Radio Super Sunday Family Party with a fantastic free afternoon of entertainment for all the family, so make sure you get here early!
Dress up for a disco and come on down to the Lawn Bar!
The Sunday afternoon family parties have become legendary at the Lawn Bar over the last few years…the place gets packed with families and groups of friends all coming out for good times together on the lawns with some free entertainment…and this year is no exception!
We’re delighted to announce that our great friends at Isle of Wight Radio will be hosting the afternoon this year, with favourite local presenters Paul Topping and Heather McCallum warming you up from 2pm as we get ready for what’s to come. Then headlining our Super Sunday entertainment will be the new and incredible six piece party band Boogie Days, playing all the classic disco hits from the 70’s and 80’s from 3pm. It’s going to be an awesome party vibe, so bring the whole family down for a sing-a-long and a dance on the lawn!
Join in the fun by dressing up in your best 70’s disco party gear, with some fun prizes to be won on the afternoon, care of our sponsors Musto. There’s also a worst dad dancing competition…so if you know the dad in your family has the worst moves, make sure you nominate him for the honours!
If you arrive earlier in the afternoon, the Wight Diamonds Marching Band will be playing a free full concert from 1pm in the Tea garden (located on the adjacent St Mary’s Lawn).
So…we’re sure you’ll agree that the Lawn Bar is the place to be on Sunday 2nd August. It’s family friendly, dog friendly and we’re always happy to see you! Get here early though…last year the lawns were packed for this free Super Sunday event and admission may be restricted if it gets too busy.

We’re offering a special pre-ordered Super Sunday Cream Tea in a box for those who want to book in advance:
The cream tea will feature 2 freshly baked home-made scones (one fruit, one plain), plus a portion of clotted cream, strawberry conserve and butter, served in an eco-friendly craft cardboard box.
Sorry, but for this event we are unable to provide alternative dietary options, although some will be available on the day at the Northwood House Tea Garden Lawn.
There are three options available for pre-order from the Lawn Bar:
- Cream tea box with glass of premium prosecco: £10 (normally £11.95) SAVE £1.95
- Cream tea box with pint of Pimm’s and all the trimmings: £12.95 (normally £15.95) SAVE £3
- Cream tea box with 275ml bottle of Sparkling Appletise or J2O: £9.00 (normally £10.95) SAVE £1.95
Please order by clicking the “Pre-order Cream tea box” below, and bring your digital e-ticket or printed email receipt along to exchange at the Lawn Bar any time between 1pm and 4pm.
If you want a cream tea with a hot drink option, you can do this at the Northwood House Tea Garden on the other side of the building on the day.
