Lawn Bar Thursday special free concert: His Majesty’s Band of the Royal Marines (Portsmouth)

We are delighted to announce a special Cowes 200 afternoon free concert by His Majesty’s Band of the Royal Marines (Portsmouth) who’ll be bringing a rousing performance of all the concert classics to the Lawn Bar main stage on Thursday 6th August at 3pm.

What you need to know:

• The concert is free, but maybe subject to capacity. Arrive early to avoid disappointment.
• Bring a picnic chair if you want to sit. We only have a limited number of garden chairs and tables on the lawn.
• The concert lasts about 1 hour.
• You may not bring food or drink in to the venue, sorry. We have licenced bars available and food service outlets available.
• The Northwood House Tea Garden is open from 2pm for pre-concert teas, cakes and sandwiches.
• You can pre-order a boxed afternoon tea for collection from the Mermaid Lounge Bar from 2pm. See details below.
• We offer event general event parking for all Cowes Week events on our Ward Avenue field. It costs £5 for the afternoon after 2pm if required. Please pay on the gate or advance below if you wish too.

We’re offering a special pre-ordered Cream Tea in a box for those who want to book in advance:

The cream tea will feature 2 freshly baked home-made scones, plus a portion of clotted cream, strawberry conserve and butter, served in an eco-friendly craft cardboard box.

Sorry, but for this event we are unable to provide alternative dietary options, although some will be available on the day at the Northwood House Tea Garden Lawn.

There are four options available to pre-order:

1. Cream tea box with glass of premium prosecco: £10 (normally £11.95) SAVE £1.95
2. Cream tea box with pint of Pimm’s and all the trimmings: £12.50 (normally £15.45) SAVE £2.95
3. Cream tea box with 275ml bottle of Sparkling Appletise or J2O: £9.00 (normally £10.75)  SAVE £1.75
4. Cream Tea Box with glass of  Tinwood English Classic Cuvee £15.00  SAVE £1.95

For other dietary choices you can purchase on the day from the Northwood House Tea Garden.

Please order in the ticket section below, print off your email receipt and bring it along to exchange at the Mermaid Lounge Bar any time between 2pm and 3pm.

If you want a cream tea with a hot drink option, you can do this at the Northwood House Tea Garden on the other side of the building on the day.
