If you love local history you can book on a fascinating 75-minute history tour of Northwood House after our ‘Bliss in the Ballroom’ event from 4.00pm on the 27th/28th/30th of July with author and House Trustee Tim Wander.

 

 

Tim will give guests a potted two hundred year history of the iconic Georgian manor house highlighting the rise, decline and now recent rejuvenation of the venue that you see today, now owned and managed by Northwood House Charitable Trust on behalf of the Island community.

You will be taken on a venture throughout the house which is steeped in history and intrigue. There is nobody better to take you on this journey than Tim, one thing for certain is that you will leave knowing a lot more about the heritage and importance Northwood House in recent times. Northwood House has become a busy events venue and these tours provide the unique opportunity to explore parts of the house that would not be accessible to the public during one of our events.
