Volunteer Recruitment Coffee Morning (Feb 2026)
7th February

Have you got a few hours a week (or even a month) to spare and would be able to contribute a little bit of time to a good community cause?
Joining our volunteer park gardening team and/or event catering team might just be what you are looking for!
If you love gardening, it’s a great opportunity to meet new people, get some fresh air and exercise and help keep Northwood Park looking great for visitors.
If you love the buzz of events and are in your element in a highly sociable and bustling environment (helping to make and serve tea, coffee and refreshments) then step forward!

Come and find out more at our recruitment coffee morning on Saturday 7th February. You’ll meet regular members of our friendly volunteer team and see what they get up to. Hopefully you’ll want to join in the fun!
Volunteering is open to adults over 18 years of age and as long as you are reasonably fit, mobile and healthy there’s no specific upper age.
Meet our friendly team at the Northwood House Rotunda main entrance just before or at 11am. Sue Collinge, our Charity Trustee in charge of volunteering will be there to welcome you along with some of our current volunteers and the Charity’s C.O.O (Darren Cool) who will tell you all about the opportunities over some coffee, tea and biscuits!
And don’t worry, there’s absolutely no commitment what so ever to join the team if it doesn’t sound like it’s for you. We will just be delighted that you were interested in the first place. With over 70 regular volunteers, we’re pretty sure you’ll want to join in the fun, by raising funds for Northwood House Charitable Trust at events or by helping to maintain Northwood Park for the whole local community to enjoy as a recreational green space…or maybe both!
If you can’t wait until then and want to find out more, please get in touch and we’ll invite you in for a cup of tea! Just email Cath our administrator at administrator@northwoodhouse.org or call 293642 after 10am weekdays.
Without volunteers many charities would not survive and Northwood House Charitable Trust Co Ltd is no different. With its rich history, the Charity wants to continue to be an important focal point of the Cowes and Isle of Wight community.
Our volunteers’ contribution is invaluable, it’s their interest in the House and the history of Cowes and the Isle of Wight which help us run events and activities to enable the renovation and maintenance work so badly needed to continue
