Aitken Tennis Courts Hog Roast Supper 2022 (fundraiser)
17th July £17.50 - £500.00
16/7/22 UPDATE- The event has now closed for booking, thank you.
Join us on Northwood House lawns for great music and food as we come together again for our third fundraiser to raise vital funds to help maintain the Aitken Tennis Courts in Northwood Park.
The Aiken Courts are a popular community asset used by lots of local people. Our mission is to keep the courts as a “free to play” facility, but as a charity, we need help with the ongoing costs of maintaining the courts to a high playing standard. Following the total refurbishment of the courts that was completed in 2020, the courts have become more popular than ever…so if you play regularly, this is your chance to help contribute to some of the running costs by coming along to our Hog Roast supper fundraising evening.
Just to clean the courts professionally each spring costs over £1500 alone, with ongoing fees like insurance and other maintenance adding up to many hundreds of pounds over the year.
So join us for a very sociable evening on the Northwood House lawns from 6:30 pm on Sunday 17th July, with a glass of prosecco or G&T on arrival and a delicious hog roast supper laid on by top Island caterers “Oasis Catering” and the Northwood House team. The hog roast will be served with a selection of fresh side salads and accompaniments, followed by a choice of home-made brownies and ice cream, or strawberries and fresh cream. There will be vegetarian and vegan options too if the hog roast isn’t for you.
The Lawn Bar itself will be closing early at 6pm and will re-open at 6.30pm to host this strictly ticket-only exclusive event, with drinks being served via table service or our online App throughout the evening.
Great live music will accompany the Hog Roast Supper which will be provided by popular local band “Funk Soup”, with dancing very much encouraged in front of the stage. The Lawn Bar marquee will be there to use too, so even if the weather is less than clement you can still enjoy the evening whilst under cover. We will also be doing some fundraising on the evening with a raffle, with prize donations gratefully received in advance.
Tickets are £22.50 each for adults, with a child ticket (up to 15 years old) available for £17.50. All event profits from ticket sales and the raffle will go to our dedicated court maintenance funds to use for ongoing maintenance projects.
Everyone is welcome, with tickets available to purchase online below or by phoning the office on 01983 293642 between 10am and 2pm Mon-Thurs.
If ordering online please state whether you want want a meat, vegetarian & vegan option from the drop down menu.
If you have other dietary requirement (allergies etc), please specify on the drop down box and leave a contact number so we can call you back if required.

You are welcome to bring your tennis rackets along and have some fun on the adjacent courts during the evening as well.
